Description
After two years in the making (I began the pencil sketch in 2011 and finished it yesterday) this is a character study of my Arianne, colored with copic markers. Unfortunately was the paper too small so her feet are cut off. This happens a lot with me, I dunno why.
She should look arrogant and give the impression of a rich woman. I hope I succeeded.

My tag word was 'motion'
Regarding the issue you have with not having enough space for your whole drawing on your paper, i think you could initially draw the whole shape of your character first before putting on the details. So you will know how much space each part of your drawing will take and you can adjust the shapes accordingly. or perhaps look for bigger paper size
Arianne reminds me of a maiden that I would expect to see in a medieval setting. i like the colors you chose for her. They are vibrant and full of contrast and it really catches the eye. The vibrant colors of her clothing and the jewels and accessories she is wearing shows us that she is a wealthy woman. Her smile seems demure. It looks like she is in her travelling clothes; like a merchant?
Things that you can improve on this piece is the pose. It looks stiff. The angle of her arms is awkward and doesnt look natural. Usually the arm would be rotating more inwards to the body, with the thumb facing forward, doing this will make the arm look more natural. Her shoulders may be too wide and the puffy sleeves made her look even wider.
I recommend using real photos as reference for anatomy so you can be more familiar with poses and body proportions.
Even so, she's an interesting character whose story people would like to hear about ^^
